Think Air Partners with MedicAir to Enhance Indoor Air Quality Across the UK
South Wales-based environmental solutions company Think Air has partnered with purification and filtration manufacturer MedicAir to provide enhanced indoor air quality solutions for health-conscious organisations.
The new partnership sees Think Air join forces with MedicAir to provide end-to-end solutions for clients pledging to provide healthier indoor environments for staff, clients, and patients alike.
Indoor air quality has been put at the forefront of the Covid pandemic, with air flow and clean air being key strategies to stop the spread of the virus. However, poor indoor air quality goes beyond the spread of viruses, and this invisible enemy is particularly relevant as we spend up to 90% of our time indoors.
Poor indoor air quality levels – whether in schools, offices, factories, hospitality, gyms, care homes or health care facilities – can severely compromise short and long-term health, wellbeing, and productivity.
A recent UK Clean Air Fund study found that three million working days each year are lost because of the effects of indoor air pollution on workers. Poor air quality has also been linked to lower employee productivity and performance, incurring significant losses to individuals, businesses and the wider economy.
Since launching, Think Air has led the way for healthier indoor environments. Its live data and predictive analytics are transforming how businesses, schools, governments, and communities can respond to air quality issues.
Led by the research and insights of Technical Director Sam Lewis and Head of R&D – and Swansea University Professor Emeritus – Paul Lewis, Think Air has pioneered simple-to-use tools and insights to help organisations manage indoor air quality – and put health, wellbeing, and productivity first.
The new partnership with MedicAir will incorporate medical grade air purifiers to further enhance its indoor air quality strategies – allowing clients to create even safer environments.
“MedicAir offers a unique solution for the purification of indoor air, improving air quality and reducing the incidence of suspended viruses, bacteria and numerous other harmful contaminants commonly found throughout indoor air. Thanks to its award winning engineering and R&D teams, MedicAir is able to offer air purifiers that use the latest technologies to clean the air from harmful pollutants.
Trusted and used by NHS Trusts, as well as Cambridge University, the RAF, 3M, BP Oil and many more, the MedicAir Pro air purifier is able to clean up to 99.99% of all particles down to 0.3μm, effectively creating safer and more productive spaces for offices, hospitals, schools and other environments. And with no need for installation, the technology works straight from the box, meaning it can be deployed anywhere.
Speaking of the new partnership, Think Air’s Managing Director Graeme Thomson says:
“The public and corporate focus on improving air quality is expanding rapidly indoors, especially post-Covid. As we help our clients understand the indoor air quality issues they face, it’s also vital we’re able to introduce a range of appropriate solutions to improve the environment. We’ve done extensive testing of MedicAir’s suite of medical grade filtration and purification solutions, and they surpass the very high performance standards we expect in effective solutions for lowering the presence of particulates and gases, as well as harmful bacteria and viruses. We’re now delighted to be able to add the MedicAir suite to solutions we can offer our clients.”
Speaking on behalf of MedicAir, Clinical Director Dr Matt Perkins says:
“The partnership with ThinkAir will allow MedicAir to offer a complete solution to our present and future customers. But most importantly, by combining the efforts of two of the leading air purification entities in the UK, we will be able to be at the forefront of IAQ innovation, monitoring and implementation of measures that will improve air quality for thousands of people. MedicAir and ThinkAir will work to allow everyone to have confidence that the air they breathe is safe and free of contaminants, and to allow organisations and businesses to take responsibility for the air within their facilities.”
